A 'Welcome' from the Chairman of the Board of Management.

It is a pleasure for the Board of Management to welcome the entire Willow Park Junior School community to our website. Under the creative and dynamic leadership of our Principal, Mr Jim Casey, we now have a facility at our disposal to inform, educate, entertain and bond us.

This website is an on-going invitation to all of us, not only to benefit from, but also contribute to this new website.

The Willow School community now has a wonderful opportunity to share its accumulated wisdom.

May this initiative greatly enrich our lives.

A 'Welcome' from Principal  - Jim Casey

 Welcome to Willow Park

I hope this virtual site will give visitors a sense of the reality of our vibrant and wonderful school, whilst also providing information and updates for our large community of pupils, parents and staff.

Willow Park Junior School is an especial school.

Ideally situated within the Blackrock College campus, it shares the rich tradition and strengths that are part of the Blackrock ethos.

Fides et Robur (meaning Faith and Strength) are very much our living ethos. We affirm our Catholicism and robustly engage our pupils in the spiritual, intellectual and physical rigours of a young, full life.

As a Junior school we provide a caring and stimulating atmosphere within which our boys can grow and mature. Secure in themselves, they are provided with a stimulating and structured environment that supports learning and allows them to express their various talents. Blessed with green acres and a wide variety of extracurricular activities, Willow understands that learning does not stop at the classroom door.

Pupils are positively encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities involving both Sport and the Arts.

Parents who send their boys to Willow make a very conscious commitment to the spirit and ethos of the school. Of course that commitment is part financial but more importantly, it is an ethical and family commitment to the Willow and Blackrock tradition. Willow parents support the school community in a myriad of ways and are welcome partners in fostering that atmosphere of friendliness and care that lies at the heart of the school.

On behalf of my colleagues who, through their enthusiasm and professionalism, provide our boys with a rich and varied curriculum, I welcome you to browse through Willow Park.
