Willow Park Junior is blessed to
be in possession of a splendid new school with the most up-to-date,
modern facilities. It is now imperative to ensure that the
excellence of our education continues and develops.
Toward that end, the Board of Management, at its recent meeting,
proposed the creation of a 'working committee' and issued an
invitation to stakeholders to offer suggestions as to how best
reinforce continued educational excellence.
With our rich tradition and present strengths, we are in a position
to advise and guide our school so that the Willow ethos and model
remain relevant to modern families and meet the needs of pupils and
parents.
It is envisaged that the committee will invite submissions from the
Willow and wider community, research what is happening elsewhere,
ask questions of relevant parties and thereafter distil content for
a meaningful, realistic and positive presentation to the Board of
Management in autumn 2011.
The Committee has its first meeting on Monday 14th February. Chaired
by Board member Mr.Kevin O'Brien, the committee comprises of three
teaching staff and three parents. A number of pupils will be invited
to join the committee during the process. |
