AcademicClass Structure

Willow prides itself on an outstanding ‘early-years’ education,  providing the junior classes with a vibrant and vibrant programme that allows the boys to settle and form a social and positive foundation for their future learning.

  • In Junior Infants there are 2 mixed ability classes of circa 22 pupils.
  • In Senior Infants there are 2 mixed ability classes of circa 23 pupils
  • In 1st Form there are 2 mixed ability classes of circa 24 pupils
  • In 2nd Form* there are 3 mixed ability classes of circa 24 pupils.

Parents should note that an additional class is added in 2nd Form (in preparation for First Holy Communion)  -  and another in  3rd Form.

These additions are to facilitate the changing needs of young applicants and their families. Parents often recognise that their growing son (post Infants) would benefit from the enriched and broad education that a school like Willow provides - and that at the age of 7 or 8yrs. he is ready to participate in our challenging, stimulating and vibrant school  - in preparation for entry to Blackrock College.

  • In 3rd Form* there are 4 mixed ability classes of circa 25 pupils.
  • In 4th Form there are 4 mixed ability classes of circa 26 pupils.
  • In 5th Form there are 4 mixed ability classes of circa 28 pupils.
  • In 6th Form there are 4 mixed ability classes of circa  28 pupils

Parents should note that the above numbers per class may increase or decrease slightly.
