For the duration of Arts Week, Steve Bradbury and a number of volunteers, as well as some Transition Year students from Blackrock College are visiting every class in the school. Where each boy will be drawing their own portrait. Over 600 photos will then be scanned, and formed into a mosaic, that when you step back from it will be “Muddy Knees”, and up close you will see each individual portrait. This will then hang proudly on the wall in the Hub.
“Willow Life” a painting of the picture “Muddy Knees” which hangs in Mr. Docherty’s office was painted by Steve Bradbury and donated to Willow Park Junior School, as part of the Arts Week project for 2019.
Framed giclee prints of the original artwork is now for sale and for every print sold, a donation of €10 will be given to the school with all proceeds going to a charity chosen by 6th form boys.
