Weekly Message from the Principal

On September the 5th every school in India will celebrate how important teachers are to the future prosperity of their nation. As the Senior Management team we realise how important good teachers are and have worked hard to ensure that we have well trained, professional, enthusiastic, hard-working, caring teaching staff who will always put the needs and lifelong education of the boys first. This does mean that difficult decisions and hard choices will need to be made – however difficult decisions and hard choices will educate and shape the boys through their learning journey in Willow Park Junior school. As a member of the Willow community you only have to look at the teacher car park full of cars at 8am every morning to realise the commitment and care the teachers have for the boys in our school.

Therefore, I ask the parents to listen to your son’s teacher during the Form programme evenings. It is not easy for teachers to stand up in front of 30 adults and convey their targets for the teaching and learning this year. Nonetheless, this meeting is crucially important because straight away it involves the parents in their son’s education and creates a positive relationship with the class teacher. Most importantly I ask parents to trust and support your son’s teacher this year as we embark on a fantastic teaching and learning journey together.

In the words of Pope Francis …. without consistency it is impossible to educate. Please remember Teachers matter.
