The boys in Ms Hannon’s class (M4) have been very busy doing their part to help reduce the carbon footprint of our school community. They have been instrumental in introducing the sale of eco-friendly, BPA free water bottles, made from sugar cane, into Willow Park Junior School. ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ will be very much at the heart of this new initiative encouraging us all to protect, nurture and sustain our planet.
Our class (M4) are selling BPA free water bottles made from sugar cane in Willow Park School. These bottles will go on sale in John’s shop on Thursday 16th May and in the hub on Tuesday 21st May from 8:30-9:00 costing €8 per bottle or €15 for two. We hope to raise €1250. 100% of all profits made will be donated between two charities, RNLI and Voice Ireland. RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea and Voice Ireland is a charity that focuses on waste and water issues.
Through school posters, the school website and flexibuzz, we will let everybody know how much better for the environment these water bottles are. They are dishwasher safe too. For more information log onto Refill.ie and look up the Tap Map.
