Congratulations to two fourth form boys Paul Hartnett and Ryan Hanley whose project won the Intel Young Scientist for the school. After their research revealed how 36% of green bins contain cross contaminated items which prevents companies from recycling bin contents, they decided to create an App. This App scans container barcodes indicating which bin to place the item in, Green, Brown or Black.
We wish the boys the very best of luck as they represent Willow in the regional finals in December at Intel in Leixlip.
