Madame Dandois would like to express un énorme merci to all 500 boys who sang extremely well for the Willow community. Congratulations to all 6th formers who made an amazing video in French.
Merci as well to all the Willow staff, especially 6th form teachers, Catherine Madden and Madame Léa, who gave lots of their time to help the boys with their videos or with their songs.
And lastly, a special thanks to all WPA parents and volunteers who made this French day a very enjoyable day for all with lots of help, decoration and croissants of course!
All came into school wearing French costumes. We sang 'Dans mons Chateau' in the hub in front of the parents. Then we all got a Pain au Chocolat. Then we went back to class and we got our photo taken. It was a very fun day. Merci Madame Dandois!!!
I loved French day because we got to dress up and sing head shoulders knees and toes. We got to eat a chocolate croissant. A French rugby player came and talked to us. It was great fun, I really enjoyed it.
We did a French dance and it was head shoulders knees and toes in French. My favourite part was when a French rugby player came to Willow Park School. Other boys dressed in French clothes. We had to ask for a croissant in French.
We started off French day by coming into school in our French costumes ready to start a brilliant French Day 2019! Later on that day we went to the hub where all the French day decorations were set up. There was French bunting, pictures of French monuments and pictures drawn by the students. Pictures were taken of each class in their French costumes. We also got croissants which we had to ask for in French. After lunch we went to the assembly where we performed French songs that we learnt. We also watched the sixth forms videos. At the end of the assembly you had to vote for your favourite video. It was very close but the winners were J6 class! At the end of the day everyone had enjoyed this year brilliant French day!

Bonjour, last Friday it was French day. Everyone dressed up in French clothes. 3rd to 5th form sang some songs that they were learning for the weeks before. They performed them on a stage in the gym. Then 6th class showed some videos from YouTube that they had created. In the hub everyone had croissants and they were soooo nice. Our former French teacher Madame Sosio attended the French Day to watch the show and to meet some former students and some new ones . At the of school we did some singing and it was really fun. We sang 3 songs, they were N’golo Kante, Chocolat and Le Cactus and it was very enjoyable. Overall French day was very fun and a big Merci to madame Dandois. Au Revoir.
J6
A final word to congratulate J6 for winning the best French video. Their video, “TV Sport 2018” was sent to a French-Belgian-Swedish short movie competition that took place in March.
